Population growth

I'm doing a research project on global population growth and the problems associated with it and I thought I'd see what others think are problems associated with population growth and maybe start some kind of discussion on these problems and their seriousness and suchlike.

Global population growth and development has been a serious issue for a long time and it continues to be. So let's discuss . . .

Radioactive waste and Spanish translations

Today i'm going to attempt to do my spanish translations homework and i need help. is there anyone who reads this who speaks/reads spanish wonderfully who i can email my translation when i'm finished and they can help me with any grammer I have got wrong??? send me an email if you can help: fk.mckenzie@clear.net.nz

moving onto more pressing matters, did you know that if the Bush Administration has its way, radioactive waste will soon be officially no different than ordinary trash--meaning it could be dumped into a town landfill. That's pretty shocking I think. Plus during the past 10 years, global greenhouse gas emissions have grown by 11%. A shocking fact since it has been 10 years (next week) since the Kyoto Protocol was ratified. Sustainable environmental development is crucial to creating a better future.

A challenge: lobby your local, regional and national leaders to help create a better future with sustainable environmental development!

Is development a myth?

Do you think 'Development' is a myth . . . we were thinking about it today and came to the conclusion that everyone has a different idea of what development is and what it means and what ends it is trying to acheive. Because of this, there is no universal method for one universal 'Development' and therefore 'Development', as a universal process that works everywhere, is a myth . . . but 'Development' as a multi-faceted concept that is both a process and an ideal which has to be adjusted to every culture, community and country is not a myth. Are you confused yet? Any thoughts?
